Popis: | 28th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition; 775-779 Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell (PERC) technology has received considerable attention in the past several years in photovoltaic industry. This has led into the development of various rear passivation techniques and consequently, high-volume production tools to deposit such layers. In this paper, we report research and development work done at Sunrise Global Solar Energy on PERC solar cell structure, named CELCO cells, using Roth & Rau’s MAiA tool to deposit an Al2O3//SiNx structure for the rear passivation. In this paper we present some of the optimization work undertaken on CELCO cell technology, which included rear layer uniformity, opening patterns and cleaning methods. As a result for this continuous improvement, average efficiency of mass production CELCO cells using p-type Czochralski wafer is currently at 20.3%, with some cells reach as high as 20.7%. A 60-cell module made of 156x156mm pseudo-square CELCO cells has been shown to reach 290Watt rated power. |
