Popis: The objective of this study was to analyze the performance of a solar tracker to allow the production of distilled water by a solar collector apparatus. The structure was constructed from two inch tubes, brushing, threaded rod, metalon plates and the movements were controlled by a micro-controller (PIC) 16F877A. The tracker operated well with error of only 2 degrees from maximum incident radiation in periods of good insolation. The efficiency gain for the days which measurements were taken varied; the maximum and minimum observed were 70% and 46%.
