Microbiological data were obtained from the Microbiology Laboratory of the Sf.Spiridon Emergency Clinical Hospital Iasi. 125 surgical site infections, accounting for 54,1% of health care associated infections were reported in 106 patients, representing 66,6% of the patients with HAI. The most commonly identified pathogens were Klebsiella Pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, Acinetobacter baumanii and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.A high level of antibiotic resistance was reported.
