Popis:	The synthesis of three phthalocyanine derivatives functionalised with seven or eight substituents including either one or two trichlorosilylalkyl chains is described. Self-assembled monolayers of the derivatives covalently bound to silicon and glass have been formed and characterised by FTIR and visible region spectroscopies.
