Enhancement of the wear resistance of pieces made of 30KhGSN2A and 38KhS steels by laser treatment

Popis: | We study the structure and properties of 38KhS and 30KhGSN2A steels subjected to various modes of laser thermal treatment. It is shown that the geometric parameters of hardened layers, manifestation of the effect of structural heredity in it, and fine structure depend both on the mode of laser thermal treatment and on the initial structural state of steels. We determined technological parameters of laser treatment which enabled us to increase the wear resistance of pieces of bearing units by more than a factor of three. |
