Popis: The presence of structural defects in undoped trans-polyacetylene, both before and after air oxidation, has been investigated by means of 13C NMR CPMAS experiments. To increase the sensitivity the 13C signals have been enhanced via Dynamic Nuclear Polarization. It has been found that by nature our sample contains about 0.5% methyl groups and 2.7% methylene groups and/or cross-links. Air inlet manifests itself mainly in the formation of ethene oxide groups, oxygen bridges, hydroxyl groups and carbonyl groups, with a total percentage of 47% after 4 months.
