Popis: | The object of this study is to qualify cobalt-free alternative alloys for valve applications. This paper focuses on tribological characterizations of numerous coatings deposited by different processes. Tests were performed on two experimental rigs. A selection of the best coatings was done using an alternating “pin on rail” tribometer. Then tests were performed on a second rig which simulates the wear sustained by gate valves in the primary circuit of a pressurized water reactor. A 65% Cr3C2+35% Ni-Cr coating, deposited using a detonation gun technology, seems promising for finding a substitute for Stellite 6. |
