Popis: | The elastic stability (bifurcation) response of space frames, including warping deformation and flexible (semi-rigid) connections, is considered. Calculation of the elastic stability load is based on a linear eigenvalue analysis. A parametric study of the effect of connection rigidity for a portal space frame of variable geometry subjected to gravity and various wind loads is presented to provide insight into the stability behavior of space frames. |
