Popis: | The Leon-Bethe model for the Day-Snow-Sucher mixing effect of orbital states in the annihilation of negative pions at rest in liquid hydrogen is solved by a method similar to the one of Flamand. Instead of the Lie algebra of the group SU(2) there appears here the algebra of the group E(2). The results of the two methods justify some approximations used to solve the model. The capture time appears to be compatible with the experimental values. |
