Popis: Measurements of the electronic properties of a wide variety of organic salts formed from the anionradical of tetracyanoquinodimethan (TCNQ) and various cations have been made. The results indicate that in the highest conductivity salts, which have conductivities of the order of 100 Ω—1 cm—1, the electrons are degenerate as in a metal, but in the less conductive salts the conduction takes place by means of an activated process. It is not certain whether the carrier production or the carrier motion is activated.
