Popis: | 1. Steels 42KhMFA and 40KhMFA have practically the same static and fatigue strengths (σb, σ−1) as well as resistance to ductile and brittle fracture, differing only in hardenability, depth of the nitrided case, and character of the change in hardness. 2. For crankshafts of the YaMZ-238 engine the molybdenum content of steel 42KhMFA can be reduced to 0.2–0.3%. In this case, however, the chromium content should be raised to 1.2–1.5%, which makes it possible to obtain the necessary hardness of the nitrided case (≥HV 600 at the surface and ≥HV 500 at a depth of 0.2 mm) with gas nitriding for 18–20 h. This change in the composition of the steel will reduce the consumption of scarce molybdenum. |
