Popis: | Thomas P. Yunck, holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Princeton University and a Ph.D. in systems and information science from Yale University. Since 1978 he has been with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California Institute of Technology, where he currently manages the GPS Observatories Office. At JPL, Dr. Yunck has been involved in the development of radio metric techniques for spacecraft navigation and for a variety of related science pursuits. For the past 15 years he has managed the development of technologies to employ the signals from GPS for high precision Earth science and remote sensing. His current work focuses on the development of spaceborne GPS systems for applications in geodesy, atmospheric sounding, and ionospheric imaging. |
