Popis: The possibility of applying laser radiation for enhancing the working capacity of parts operating under simultaneous effect of loads different in character is considered. Features of forming the microstructure, thin crystalline constitution, and properties of normalized grade 40 steel on heating the surface layer by the radiation of a continuous laser within the intercritical temperature interval Ac3 > Th > Ac1 are studied.
