In this paper, We propose a method to recognize the pointer barometer reading in transformer substations by image processing technology automatically. The method contains two steps. First, we use segmentation and morphology to extract the dial from the background. Second, we use improved Hough Transform method to locate the pointer. With the initial range information, we can recognize the real reading of the barometer. The experimental results show our technique can be applied to real scene of transformer substation. |
