Packaging Materials Manufactured from Natural Polymers Modified with Silver Nanoparticles

Popis:	The effect of silver nanparticles on the bactericidal and fungicidal properties of natural polymers – cellulose and collagen derivatives – was investigated. It was found that the treatment of films in a silver solution leads to a change in structure: ordering and compaction of microfibres. It is shown that the new materials, having fairly high bactericidal properties to different types of microorganism, are non-toxic and risk-free to humans and the environment.
