Popis:	An efficient synthetic protocol was developed for the formation of tetracyclic tetrahydro--carbolines using p-TSA mediated reaction of -enaminones and acetylenedicarboxylates. Highly functionalized tetracyclic tetrahydro--carboline derivatives were synthesized in one pot reaction conditions, where two C-C and one C-N bond formations have occurred, sequentially.
