Popis: NPs of Ce1-xZnxO2 (x=0, 0.02, 0.040.06, 0.08) were prepared by solution combustion technique using glycine as fuel. The prepared sample were subjected to various characterization techniques includes UV-visible spectrometer, X-ray diffractometer (XRD), Scanning electron microscope (SEM) and Energy dispersive X-Ray analysis (EDX). The X-ray diffraction analysis confirms the crystalline nature of CeO2 cubic lattice and fallowed by the fair incorporation of the Zn atoms in to CeO2 lattice. The SEM studies address the porous morphological structure, UV studies account for the optical band gap and EDX gives the elemental composition of the Ce1-xZnxO2 samples. Gas sensing studies of Ce1-xZnxO2 samples as a function of temperature have been proposed and it reveals that Zn doped CeO2 sensor exhibit excellent sensitivity towards acetone and ethanol vapors. The magnetic properties of the Ce1-xZnxO2 samples were studied using VSM up to 50 kOe at RT. It was found that all the samples exhibiting paramagnetic behavior which is recognized to the nanosized particles.
