Popis: The decreasing number of students opting for STEM subjects and careers has led to the implementation of various strategies to get them interested in STEM. Despite such efforts, the number of graduates majoring in STEM continued to decline. Several researchers believe that interest and motivation are two key factors that could lead students to choose STEM as their career paths. Hence, this systematic literature review aims to review related studies substantiating the roles interest and motivation play in STEM education and how these two key factors can help attract more students to choose STEM subjects and careers to meet the nation’s demands.
