Popis: | SUMMARY It is a well-known fact that in the late Middle Ages Christian Scholastics were influenced by Jewish thinkers. But contrary to what is often thought, traces of Christian writings can also be found in the works of Jewish authors, like Hillel ben Samuel, Levi ben Gershon, Chasdai Crescas and Jehuda Romano. This article outlines briefly what has been said up till now on this particular subject; and illustrates by two examples, taken from Jehuda Romano's commentary on the Creation, how this author used the insights of Christians scholars, such as Thomas Aquinas. |
