The development of a STEM educational model by innovative sustainable home (iG-HOME) is a necessity since it not only foster students' interest in STEM education, but also educate them that sustainable practices begins at home. The objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the model in enhancing students' interest in STEM education in addition to improving their awareness and engagement in practices which ensure environmental sustainability. This model is a pilot study involving 40 Form 1 students from Bandar Tasik Kesuma Secondary School (SMKBTK). A questionnaire was administered to evaluate the iGHOME module and programme which have been implemented at this school. The result shows that the iG-HOME Educational Model proved to be a good fit and can increase students' interest in STEM education, while at the same time providing awareness and knowledge on how to practice environmental sustainability. |
