espanolPresentamos el caso de un varon de 61 anos de edad, que consulta inicialmente en Atencion Primaria. Comienza con cervicalgia y omalgia y el cuadro progresa a una lesion cutanea inflamatoria pectoral. Es derivado a Urgencias e ingresado en el Servicio de Infecciosas en colaboracion con Cirugia Toracica. El diagnostico final es de absceso en el mediastino anterior. La evolucion del cuadro nos hace repasar las causas de hombro doloroso y los cuadros de origen mediastinico, asi como dar importancia al cuadro evolutivo del paciente. EnglishWe present the case of a 61 years old man seen initially in Primary Care who starts with neck pain and shoulder pain with progression of the manifestation to a pectoral cutaneous inflammatory lesion. He is referred to Emergency and been admitted in the Infectious Department with collaboration of Thoracic Surgery, with the final diagnosis of abscess in the anterior mediastinum. The development of the manifestations makes us revise the causes of shoulder pain and the manifestations of mediastinum origin as well as to give importance to the evolutionary manifestations of the patient. |
