In this study is investigated the physicochemical and hydrodynamic behavior of the secondary facultative pond of treatment system for wastewater northeast of the city of Monteria-Colombia, to determine the flow type and the value of kinetic constant of organic load biodegradability. The concentrations of pH, temperature, conductivity, TSS, DBO5, DQO and total alkalinity in 12 points in the water mirror were measured to observe spatial and temporal behavior throughout the day. Additionally, samples were taken at the inlet and outlet of the pond to find the value of the constant depending on the type flow in the reactor. Correlation matrices were constructed between the physicochemical parameters, highly significant correlations between pH, conductivity, alkalinity, and TSS were obtained. The results show that the flow type of the pond is dispersed. The value of the constant obtained was K20 = 0.06145 ± 0.0096 d-1. |
