Popis: | In this chapter, the presence and use of Cicero' philosophical, rhetorical and letter writing is traced in several works (classical-style as well as Christian) are traced, in the Historica Augusta in particular. It is concluded that Cicero was very often used as a source and a model for literary composition, with an emphasis on his philosophical writings, De officiis and De republica in particular. |
