Popis: | Tijekom života žensko tijelo prolazi kroz brojne fizičke promjene, od onih relativno prolaznih, čestih i benignih, pa sve do onih koje su prikrivene i nisu toliko očite, a mogu ukazivati na patološko stanje. U patološke promjene ubraja se rak dojke koji je najčešći rak kod žena u razvijenim zemljama. Sve češće se zloćudne promjene javljaju i kod mlađe populacije stoga je važno educirati upravo tu populaciju kako na vrijeme detektirati promjene i na taj način očuvati svoje zdravlje. Istraživanje je provedeno kvantitativnom i kvalitativnom metodologijom. Uzorak ispitanika činilo su 145 učenica srednjih škola. Ciljevi istraživanja su dobiti uvid u informiranost učenica srednjih škola o raku dojke (simptomatologija, liječenje, rizični čimbenici, osobno iskustvo i dr.), te samopregledu dojke kao postupku ranog otkrivanja bolesti; provesti i evaluirati edukacijski program o samopregledu dojke u istoj skupini učenica, te ih potaknuti da ga redovito provode i evaluirati učinak tog edukacijskog programa samopregleda dojke u smislu učestalosti i redovitosti provedbe samopregleda kod ispitanica kroz vremenski period od 5 mjeseci. Kvalitativnim dijelom se željelo dobiti uvid u promišljanja učenica srednjih škola o raku dojke i samopregledu nakon provedenog edukacijskog programa, koji se osjećaji javljaju kod njih i što misle o provedenom programu. Naglasak je bio stavljen na perspektive samih učenica. Rezultati istraživanja su pokazali da je informiranost učenica srednjih škola o raku dojke i samopregledu bila relativno niska, a nakon provedenog edukacijskog programa, rezultati evaluacije su pokazali da je program učenicama bio koristan. Nakon 5 mjeseci evaluirana je učestalost samopregleda kod učenica, a rezultati su pokazali da je većina barem jednom provela samopregled, a da redovito, jednom mjesečno, samopregled provodi trećina ispitanica. Rezultati kvalitativnog dijela istraživanja pokazali su da učenice srednjih škola edukacijske programe samopregleda dojke smatraju poučnima i poticajnima, te da vide potrebu za provođenjem sličnih programa kako u školi, tako i kroz medije. During its lifetime, a woman's body passes through a number of physical changes, from those relatively transient, frequent and benign, to those which are concealed and not so obvious and may point to a pathological condition. Pathological changes include breast cancer, which is the most common cancer among women in developed countries. Increasingly, malignant changes occur in younger populations, so it is important to educate specifically that population in time in order to detect changes and thus preserve their health. The research was carried out by quantitative and qualitative methodology. The semple was included 145 high school female students. The aims of the research were to gain insight into the awareness of high school femal students about breast cancer (symptomatology, treatment, risk factors, personal experience, etc.), and breast self-examination (BSE) as a way of early detection of the disease; to conduct and evaluate the BSE educational program within the same group of students and to encourage them to regularly perform it and evaluate the effect of this BSE educational program in terms of frequency and regularity during 5 months. The qualitative part is aimed towards gaining insight into the thinking of high school female students about breast cancer and self-examination after a completed BSE educational program, what their feelings are about it and what they think of the implemented program. The emphasis is placed on the students own perspectives. The results of the research have shown that the awareness of high school students on breast cancer and BSE em was relatively low, and after the implemented education program, the results of the evaluation showed that the program was useful to the students. After 5 months, the frequency of BSE was evaluated, and the results showed that most of them performed BSE at least ones, while the regular one-monthly BSE was conducted by the third of respondent. The results of the qualitative part of the research have shown that high school students in the education programs of BSE are considered to be instructive and encouraging, and to see the need for similar programs in the school as well as through the media. |
