Popis: | Since 1990, the Worldwide Uchinanchu Festival has been hosted and organized by Okinawa Prefecture every five years. The events main purpose is to gather Okinawan immigrants and their descendants back to their motherland to have an exchange. There was a concern that due to the Tohoku Disaster the number of foreign participants of the 5th Worldwide Uchinanchu Festival held October of 2011 would decrease; but rather it increased to a record high number of 7,363 participants. Through the support of the 5th Worldwide Uchinanchu Festival Planning Committee, the Ryukyu University research group was able to conduct a survey targeting the participants of the festival. Based on the data obtained by the surveys, I attempt to analyze the occupation/hierarchy consciousness and identity of the Okinawan immigrants. 紀要論文 |
