Popis: | National audience; This work is part of the Eranet EraSysBio+ FRuit Integrative Modelling project, which aims at characterizing and modelling the effect of environmental factors on carbon metabolism of tomato fruit during its development. Despite the well-known effect of temperature on plant phenology and respiration, models used to predict fruit production or fruit quality fail to consider temperature impact on fruit composition. Our objective was thus to focus on these aspects in order to establish how changes in fruit temperature will affect fruit growth and the time course of accumulation of sugars, acids and secondary compounds until maturity. |
