Bu araştırma, ortaokul İngilizce öğretmenlerinin değişime yönelik eğilimlerinin düzeyini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu amaçla, Kırıkkale ilinde MEB'e bağlı resmi tüm ortaokullarda çalışan ve çalışmaya gönüllü olarak katılmak isteyen 91 İngilizce öğretmenine anket formu uygulanmıştır. Uygulanan anket formunda, Büyüköztürk, Uslu, Akbaba Altun (2017) tarafından geliştirilen öğretmenlere uyarlanan `Değişim Eğilimleri Ölçeği'' kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS 22.0 (Sosyal Bilimler İçin İstatistik Programı) programında analiz edilmiş, grup ortalamalarının farklılık analizlerinin yapılmasında bağımsız örneklemler için t-testi kullanılmıştır.Araştırma bulgularında, ortaokul İngilizce öğretmenlerinin değişim eğilimleri tüm alt boyutları ile birlikte incelendiğinde, genel olarak değişime yönelik eğilimlerin orta düzeyde olduğu saptanmıştır. Değişim eğilimlerinin alt boyutları incelendiğinde, ortaokul İngilizce öğretmenlerinin değişimin yararına inanma alt boyutuna ilişkin eğilimlerinin en yüksek düzeyde; değişimde girişimcilik boyutuna ilişkin eğilimlerinin yüksek düzeyde; değişime direnç alt boyutuna ilişkin eğilimlerinin düşük düzeyde; statükoyu koruma alt boyutuna ilişkin eğilimlerinin düşük düzeyde olduğu görülmektedir. Ayrıca araştırmanın sonuçlarında, mesleki kıdem ve kullanılan eğitim teknolojileri araçları (tahta/akıllı tahta) faktörlerinin değişimde girişimcilik, değişimin yararına inanma, değişime direnç boyutlarında anlamlı farklar oluşturduğu, cinsiyet faktörünün sadece değişimde girişimcilik boyutunda manidar bir fark oluşturduğu, yaş faktörünün ise ölçeğin 4 boyutunda da anlamlı farklar ortaya koyduğu görülmüştür. Anahtar Kelimeler: Değişim, değişim eğilimi, İngilizce öğretmenleri, ortaokul. This research was carried out to determine the level of change tendencies of English Teachers at Secondary Schools. For this purpose, the survey form was conducted for 91 English Teachers volunteering to participate in the survey and working at all the state secondary schools dependent on Ministry of National Education in Kırıkkale. The survey form conducted was `Change Tendencies Scale'' which was developed by Büyüköztürk, Uslu, Akbaba Altun (2017) and adapted for teachers. Acquired data were analyzed at SPSS 22.0 (Statistical Package For Social Sciences), independent two samples t-test was utilized to do disciriminant analysis of ensemble averages. In the research findings, It was found that change tendencies in general were at a medium level when the change tendencies of the secondary school teachers were examined together with all sub-dimensions. When the sub-dimensions of change tendencies were examined, It was seen that the tendencies of the English teachers at secondary schools towards the sub-dimension of belief in the benefit of change were at the highest level; high level of trends in entrepreneurship in change; the tendency towards the sub-dimension of resistance to change was low; the tendency towards the status quo protection sub-dimension seemed to be low. In addition, in the results of the study, It was determined that the factors such as professional seniority and educational technologies' tools (board / smart board) made significant differences in terms of dimensions of entrepreneurship in change, belief in the benefit of change, resistance to change, gender factor only made a significant difference in the dimension of entrepreneurship in change and the age factor revealed significant differences in 4 dimensions of the scale.Keywords: Change, change tendency, English teachers, secondary school. 108 |
