We are all its slaves teaching this managerial capitalism to the next generation. It’s mandated by AACSB, and the staple of Academy of Management conference and journals. Wait! There are two last alternatives, Quantum storytelling, and the Socio-Economic Approach to Management (SEAM). Both advocate a socially responsible capitalism. Quantum storytelling, more than SEAM is explicit about sustainability as a priority as a counternarrative to Managerialism. We advocate combining Quantum storytelling with SEAM. SEAM without a platform of sustainability, tied to Nature, such as in Quantum Storytelling theory and practice, just becomes just one more, in a long line of coopted pseudo-alternatives to Managerialism. |
