Popis: Svaki BT je važna komponenta EES-a, jer neraspoloživost BT-a uzrokuje neraspoloživost bloka. Zbog toga, pri izboru parametara i opreme treba biti naglašena pouzdanost. Ekonomičnost nalaže pravilan izbor razine gubitaka, odnosno kapitaliziranih cijena gubitaka. U radu je pokazano da su napon kratkog spoja i prijenosni omjer bitni za područje pogona bloka na pogonskom dijagramu. Kad područje pogona nije zadovoljavajuće veličine, treba odabrati BT sa mogućnošću promjene prijenosnog omjera. Osim toga, u radu su obrađene pojave karakteristične za BT: preuzbuda i preneseni naponi. U pogonu treba izbjegavati ili vremenski ograničiti preuzbudu koja uzrokuje zasićenje jezgre. Kad su preneseni naponi mjerodavni, izolaciju treba dimenzionirati prema njima, ili smanjiti prenesene napone. All generator step-up transformers are important elements of power systems. Unavailability of generator step-up transformer causes unavailability of generatortransformer units. Reliability should be emphasized during selection of parameters and equipment. Economy has impact on selection of optimal level of losses, i.e. capitalized costs for losses. It was confirmed that impedance and voltage ratio were important for area of operation of generator-transformer unit in capability chart. Generator step-up transformer with possibility of changing voltage ratio should be selected, when area of operation is not of satisfactory dimension. Events as are overexcitation and transferred voltage, which are typical for generator step-up transformer, are elaborated in this study. Overexcitation that causes saturation of core should be avoided or time limited in the operation. When transferred voltages are relevant, insulation should be designed accordingly, or transferred voltages should be lowered.
