Popis: Solid wood panels are products which demand a carefully conducted production process, to satisfy the adhesive strength considering the load which suffers due to constant dimensional changes and other loads in use. European standardization system stipulates a range of standards for quality and testing methods, from EN 12775 Solid wood panels – Classification and terminology to EN 13354 Solid wood panels - Bonding quality - Test method concerning the adhesive joint. Different use of these panels and accordingly use of different types of adhesives demand very rigorous testing of the adhesive joint. The results of testing that have been conducted in this study in bonding quality indicate potentially inadequate test requirements of these standards, and their potentially detrimental effect. Inadequately set system of defining the quality of adhesive joints can cause intractable problems to solid wood panels manufacturers.
