The main idea of the lecture was that apart from the well-organized teaching approach that is based on the needs analysis and learner- centered, teaching foreign languages for legal purposes must lean on good cooperation with content teachers and be tuned with the curriculum in the professional field. The empirical part includes a survey conducted among content teachers at two Croatian Law faculties: the Faculty o Law Zagreb and the Faculty of Law Osijek. The survey questions their attitudes towards the usefulness of legal English for Croatian Lawyers, their readiness to cooperate with FL teachers at the Faculty, and to which extent and in which form they use literature and other sources in FL in teaching content subjects. The results of the Osijek respondents are slightly better due to the fact that their average age was 35. The results of the Osijek research imply the awareness of the content teachers that better co- relation of LE and content teachers is necessary and the majority of respondents were willing to cooperate more closely to improve the quality of Law studies. |
