Recent discoveries during the rescue excavations and field surveys gave us new important data about the network of various types of Roman settlements between Sava and Drava. Geographically the region of interest is closed by the mountains Kalnik and Bilogora. A Roman rural settlement, Lug, near Bjelovar, is situated in the middle of the region. The analysis of finds from Lug gave us the stimulus to make new geospatial analyses to organize and explore known data from the Roman period. The research allows us to assume the route of the Roman vicinal roads. |
