Abstrakt:	33 fractures of the olecranon have been reviewed. It is evident, that with the biomechanically correct internal fixation of prestress type, adapted to the individual type of fracture not only anatomically, but also functionally very good results are obtainable. Our described prestress fixation of olecranon fractures, for the first time published 1963, has stood the tests in our hands.
