Abstrakt: Improving composites' mechanical properties is always a critical requirement for technological development. Using the stir casting method to create castings, 6% by weight of B4C was added as reinforcement to create aluminum matrix composites. Heat is removed by chills, which also promote solidification in one direction. A variety of mild steel, cast iron, and copper chills were used; the chills' thermal conductivities varied. The purpose of this work is to examine the wear and mechanical properties of Al6061 alloy that has B4C particles added. B4C impact on different chill materials on mechanical features like wear (under dry sliding circumstances), tensile strength, microhardness, and microstructure were evaluated and compared to the basic alloy. The findings of this study were compared with the base alloy and a detailed analysis was conducted. The outcomes of this research are valuable for foundry workers, the automotive sector, and aerospace industries in choosing this material for particular applications.
