Abstrakt: •Ethylene-insensitive3/ethylene-insensitive3-like (EIN3/EILs) proteins in rice exhibit three clads in a Maximum Likelihood (ML) tree.•The gene structures and motif composition of EIN3/EILs genes suggest potential stress-mitigation functions.•OsEIN3/EILs genes are responsive to exogenous abscisic acid and jasmonic acid treatment, highlighting their potential role in growth mediation and abiotic stress tolerance•OsEIN3/EILs genes are highly responsive to drought and salt stresses
