| Abstrakt: | Changes in carpet appearance brought about by the mechanics of wear may be evaluated with respect to changes in heterogeneous image properties, e.g., periodicity. This paper discusses changes brought about in texture periodicity and compares the results with subjective human evaluation. The influences of structural variables on performance are measured using these techniques. |
