Parameter Adjusting of a Static Compensator Based on Dynamic Equivalent Model of a Large Power System

Abstrakt: This work presents a technique for parameters adjusting of a static compensator based on a linearized model in state space form of a compensator connected to a dynamic equivalent model. The dynamic equivalent model is used to reduce the power system model order computed by identification theory, Using the interconnected model i.e. static compensat or connected to the dynamic equivalent model, optimization techniques are applied for the compensator gains and time constant adjusting. For illustration purposes of the techniques here proposed, an application is performed to a realistic power system, This system consists of the west System of CHESF (Brasilien Power Company)
