Abstrakt:	The mechanical problem of the admissible gear tooth profiles is treated by a method using the geometry of the complex plane. This method is better known in the electrical branch of technical science, but may — as is shown in this paper — easily be generalised to a complete version of plane geometry and applied to mechanical problems.
