Urinary fractions, containing amino acids, obtained by ion-exchange chromatography were derivatised by isopropylation and examined by combined gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Common amino acids were detected, along with a pronounced peak corresponding to creatinine. Several unidentified components were found. Selected amines, related to tryptamine and phenylethylamine, were derivatised by isopropylation and their yields (absolute and relative) and gas chromatographic-mass spectrometric characteristics were recorded. |
