The beryllium production facility at I.C.I. Metals Division is described in detail to provide the background for the main body of the report. Various techniques and methods of health physics control are discussed. Comparative data are presented covering actual air levels found in various parts of the plant under full operational conditions; the results of experiments to assess the rate of decay of atmospheric beryllium concentration are also described. |
