ABSTRACTIn 1991 and 1992, the arthropod fauna was sampled at different sites of an organic rye field (nonfertilized plot: N, compost-fertilized plot: C) and in a nearby, inorganic fertilized field I (1991: wheat, 1992: rye) by ground photoeclectors. In comparison with N and I, the compost-fertilized plot, C, showed increased emergence rates of most arthropod groups in 1992, very likely due to the compost application in Autumn 1991. Especially, saprophagous groups like certain collembolans as well as the nematoceran families of sciarids, cecydomiids and chironomids occurred more abundantly in C than in I and N. Certain predator groups (e.g. Tachyporinae, Dolichopodidae and Hybotidae) as well as parasitoids (e.g. Aleocharinae) also emerged most numerously in C. |
