| Abstrakt: | 4-Methyltetrahydropyran has been synthesized by catalytic hydrogenation of a mixture of the isomeric 4-methyl-5,6-dihydro- and 4-methylenetetrahydropyrans. Oxidative degradation then led to 3-methylglutaric acid. |
