Photoelectron spectrum of 9-vinylcarbazole

Abstrakt: According to photoelectron spectral data, the p8 and p7 MO of 9-vinylcarbazole are formed from b1 and a2 carbazole orbitals, respectively. This indicates inversion of the order of the highest occupied MO of the five-membered heterocycle in going to the fused structure.
