Abstrakt: 1.Under certain conditions Pt(TV) and Pd(II) compounds catalyze the splitting of Si -C bonds in tetraalkyl-and trialkylarylsilanes.2.In the reaction of PtCl4 with silanes in benzene in the presence of ethanol, the alkyl group split off from the Si atom adds the hydrogen of the ethanol hydroxyl group.3.The activity of platinum complexes in reactions with silanes increases with increasing coordination unsaturation of the metal.4.The catalytic replacement of an organic radical on the Si atom in tetraalkyl- and trialkylarylsilanes by trimethylsiloxy and ethoxy groups has been carried out.
