Abstrakt: Micromorphology studies and a falling-dart impact test have been used to investigate the effect of recycled material and pigments on the properties of an injection-moulded polypropylene co-polymer. The use of some pigments have been shown to have a more deleterious effect upon impact properties than that which occurs when recycled material is used as feedstock. The results have been partly explained in terms of changes in micromorphology which accompany the addition of pigments and recycled material to the feedstock.
