Abstrakt: Conclusions 1.Aging of alloy AK8 at temperatures of 170° and higher for 10–12 h improves its resistance to corrosion cracking.2.To obtain high resistance to corrosion cracking (threshold stress ~200 MPa) we recommend that alloy AK8 be aged at 175° for 24 h, which does not impair the mechanical properties or fatigue strength.3.The corrosion cracking resistance of alloy AK8 is higher in a tropical marine atmosphere than in laboratory tests in 3% NaCl.
