1.The reason for the failure of piping systems in power plants is the lack of gas-tightness of the pipe and connectors due to the presence in semifinished products of large numbers of stringers of nonmetallic inclusions (grade 5 and higher).2.Vacuum arc remelting of steels 15KhS1MFB and 20 sharply reduces the total amount of nonmetallic inclusions, changes the type of inclusion, and substantially increases the gas-tightness. The characteristics determining the reliability (plasticity, ductility, and fatigue limit) are higher for the vacuum steel than for the standard steel. |
