Abstrakt: Conclusions 1.We have established the sequence of formation and the distribution of the local plastic zones in the working part of a sample during the tensile strain of the latter in the course of discontinuous vield.2.The plastic deformation is not localized at a single point of the working part of the sample or at several places simultaneously; it executes a “relay” motion through localized zones embracing the whole volume of the sample.
