Abstrakt: 1.The methodological principles of investigating regularities of external friction of refractory materials at high temperatures have been established.2.A special machine has been developed which permits conducting investigations at temperatures from 20 to 2000°C in vacuum (10-5 mm Hg) and in inert gaseous atmospheres at loads to 40 kg/cm2 and average sliding speed from 0.01 to 0.09 m/sec.
