Conclusions The activation analysis of aluminosilicate materials for their Al2O3 and SiO2 concentrations and a selective analysis for the concentration of Al2O3 can be used with confidence for production control in the refractory industry. Ampoules of neutron sources with an activity of ~1·107–3·107 neutrons/sec were used. These sources require the minimum amount of safety precautions to ensure biological protection. |
